“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.” Psalm 23
Dear Lord, during these days of the COVID-19 pandemic,
we come to you seeking comfort and peace. The
challenges of the pandemic have caused us all to ponder
the relationships that sustain us on our faith journey.
We long for a deeper and closer relationship with you,
and with your Holy Mother, Mary.
O loving Good Shepherd, we believe that you have called
us each by name and that we are not alone. We are
comforted with that knowledge and know you are counting
on us to extend your love and care to others.
As we continue to journey through these troubling
pandemic days, we trust that you continue to guide us,
and we give thanks.
O loving Mary, as our Patroness under the name of Our Lady of
Good Counsel, we come to you seeking your help and intercession
during these difficult days. Help us to trust as you trusted when
you faced the unknown and uncertainties.
We come to you with our cares and worries looking for signs of
hope for the future. We pray that the whole world will soon be
healed from this pandemic.
O loving Mother, we ask that you gift us with your kindness and
mercy, that we may follow your model as we help each other, pray
for each other, and pray for the whole world.
Thank you, Mary, for your wise counsel and for helping us on our
faith journey; and we give praise and thanks to the Good Shepherd,
as he leads us safely home
Amen.
As we ponder our role to follow you and to be good shepherds, we know the road can be
difficult. We are deeply grateful for your Holy Mother, Mary, who intercedes to you on our
behalf.
